Poland Spring Works for Maine
hollis

Hollis is home to Maine's largest Poland Spring bottling plant, which employs nearly 400 local and seasonal people from Hollis and surrounding towns in York County and southern Maine. The Hollis facility was Poland Spring’s second bottling plant in Maine, beginning operations in 2000. Recent multi-million dollar capital investments include expansions to the facility that are U.S. Green Building Council LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certified. The Hollis plant is also a participant in ISO 14001, an international environmental management standard, as well as the Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Leader program.

Poland Spring protects and preserves about 1,500 acres of land around the Hollis plant spring sites to ensure the long-term sustainability of the local watershed. In 2009, we worked with the Hollis Conservation Commission and the Trust for Public Land to protect the nearby Indian Cellar on the Saco River. Poland Spring made a major contribution and led an effort to raise additional funds to protect land on both sides of this beloved waterway downstream from Salmon Falls. Indian Cellar is now permanently protected from development.

We are proud to be a major southern Maine employer and member of the York County community. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
