Poland Spring has nothing to gain and everything to lose from overusing local ground water. We manage Maine’s abundant, renewable water resources for sustainability through careful monitoring and strict adherence to Maine’s state and local regulations.
Poland Spring uses only a small fraction of water in any local watershed and only 0.4% of all groundwater used in Maine. We are protecting the land around our spring sites to ensure the health and sustainability of the resource and the local environment.
Wherever Poland Spring operates, meters are installed to record water withdrawals and ensure Poland Spring is staying within sustainable levels. Regulators have the right to reduce or halt Poland Spring’s water withdrawal to protect the local watershed from harm at any time.
Additionally, Poland Spring’s water use is monitored by independent scientists and water experts, as well as the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and local water districts.
Poland Spring is committed to doing our part to make Maine a better place to live and work through our environmental stewardship.
