I work closely with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and independent scientists to monitor each spring site. Together, we protect and ensure the sustainability of Maine’s water resources. All of the water that Poland Spring bottles comes from renewable spring sources. Even though Maine has an abundance of fresh water, we monitor each spring individually because we know that Maine’s environment and good jobs depend on our stewardship.

When Poland Spring came here we wanted to be sure that the plant would use our local water resources responsibly and sustainably. I monitored stream flow reports and analyzed aquifer measurements for six years. Over the past few years, the average water table in Hollis is actually higher than when the plant opened.

Poland Spring is proud not only to create good jobs for hundreds of people in Maine, but also to be part of the Maine community. Poland Spring has donated over $2.5 million to Maine towns, community organizations and causes. In addition, Poland Spring’s support of Gulf of Maine Research Institutes’ LabVenture program enables middle school children from every community in Maine to travel to Portland and learn about Maine’s water resources.
